- Abstract
The article informs about a cohort study on patients with primary chronic immune thrombocytopenia (cITP) in Denmark. It mentions the production of new platelets in cITP patients as a result of increased platelet destruction. It includes that cITP patients are at higher risk of venous thromboembolism than the general population. It adds that cITP patients had a higher arterial thrombosis (AT) rate compared with the general Danish population.
