- Abstract
The article focuses on the randomized controlled trials on the efficacy and safety of eltrombopag in patients with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (CIT). The study involved 14 CIT cases and suggested T cell dysregulation to prevent bleeding by increasing the level of platelet count. The results show that 50% of the cases with no sustained previous response to multiple previous therapies, achieved durable response with a normal platelet count throughout the period of using eltrombopag.
