- Abstract
The article focuses the study regarding the role of mitochondrial adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-binding cassette (ABC) transporter ABCB10 in blood cell development. It mentions that the study conducted colony forming unit (CFU) assays using primary human CD34+ cells to determine the relevance of disturbed differentiation and haemoglobinization in erythroid leukaemia K562 cell. The study reveals that the increase of white colony numbers can be explained by ABCB10 knockdown.
