- Abstract
The article provides information on the Guyanese writers on the "Caribbean Voices," a radio program that talk on literary works in the Caribbean. According to the author, the positions of amateur writers in the British West Indies, were raised by the radio program by them being paid contributors. The author mentions Guyanese contributors including Wilson Harris, Martin Carter and A. J. Seymour whose works were presented in the program between 1946 and 1958. Furthermore, he cited the comment of Henry Swanzy that British Guiana has a recognizable doctrine.
