- Abstract
This study Was aimed to explore the effect of pig bone collagen peptide on high fat induced weight gain and blood lipid increase. Forty mice were divided into 5 groups, and administrated with normal diet, high fat diet, high fat diet containing 1.6% Ca, high fat diet containing 1% pig bone collagen peptide, and high fat diet containing high Ca and collagen peptide, respectively. The results showed that high Ca intake could prevent high fat induced weight gain. Pig bone collagen peptide could significantly prevent both increase in weight and blood lipid. Microarray analysis revealed that high fat induced molecular circadian rhythm disorder in liver which might be the reason for disorder of lipid metabo- lism. Bone collagen peptide prevented circadian rhythm disorder and oxidative stress.
