Title
Jacobs' refinery deal with unions ends Lindsey strikes.
Abstract
The article reports that Total and Jacobs Engineering has reached a deal with workers' unions to re-hire all staff that had lost their jobs. The deal resulted in the halt of strikes at the Lindsey oil refinery of Total in Lincolnshire in Great Britain. With the deal, Jacobs and Total agreed to reinstate the 647 workers that were fired after the unofficial strikes started in June 2009. The companies will offer jobs to the 51 laid-off workers that initiated the strikes.
