- Authors
Vincent, M. V.; Byles, S. E. Dundas
- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a one-day old female neonate who was referred to the University Hospital of the West Indies after the pediatrician informed about the absence of an anal orifice in her new born examination. It mentions that her abdomen was mildly distended and soft and had no vertebral or limb anomalies. It also mentions that the neonate underwent a colostomy procedure in which a stoma was formed through an incision in the interior abdominal wall.
