The article discusses accumulation of heavy metals in fishes and crustaceans from the Gulf of Khambhat in India. Topics discussed include availability of heavy metals in aquatic systems; essential micronutrients found in heavy metals; metal-related diseases caused by the accumulation in marine organisms; bio-magnification process caused by accumulation of heavy metals; accumulation of metal found in fishes like Arius platystomus and Scolinodon and crustaceans like Penaeus monodon.
