- Abstract
The article focuses on the production of Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis (Btj) using inexpensive agricultural by-products such as corn cob. As stated, the growth medium for culturing Btj should contain sources of nitrogen and carbon which are extremely essential for proliferation of the bacteria. It also discusses the methodologies for preparation of the culture medium and conducting bioassays on mosquito species, and offers information on the results obtained from the bioassay.
