- Abstract
The article presents a study on large-scale natural water storage in the Yamuna floodplains near Delhi, India. It notes an argument in which the natural water storage scheme is being criticized as it has several needs to be addressed that includes the overlooked the 1994 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for sharing waters of Upper Yamuna river up to Okhla. Moreover, a response by the Central Group Water Board (CGWB) is presented to clarify the misunderstood concept of the basin recharge scheme.
