- Abstract
The article focuses on the influence of yoga and turn-of-the-century occultism on the theater scene particularly on actor Konstantin Stanislavsky. The author discusses the artistic concerns that led Stanislavsky onto such spiritual path. Stanislavsky played a significant role in the development of the theater scene during the silver age. On the other hand, prolific writer William Walker Atkinson who was also known as Yogi Ramacharaka wrote various aspects on Hinduism and yoga.
