Generic Violence Prevention and Gendered Violence.

- Abstract
Feminist analyses of violence against women are often isolated from other public attention to the problem of violence in general. The Choosing Non-Violence program examined here originated from a domestic violence organization but attempts to bridge the separation between generic violence prevention and domestic violence prevention. By approaching violence broadly and strategically aiming at adults' relationships with children, this program is able to reach audiences with a message about power and choice in relationships and increase awareness about gendered violence.
