- Abstract
The unexpected encounter of architects Moya and Vaquero with the ruins of Teotihuacán, at the beginning of their professional careers, helped determine significant episodes in their futures. Both architects would return to their impressions in front of this site, on many occasions, This momentous event took place within the framework of their trip to the United States and Mexico to take part in the famous Columbus Lighthouse Competition in Santo Domingo. Its traces would not only be seen in their final proposal for the competition: after it, each architect, now separately, would direct -in graphic analyses, paintings or projects-piercing glances back towards that architectural heritage which had astonished them in their youth. Those glances are the subject of this study.
