- Abstract
The desulfurization performances of semi-cokes (XR and ZR) produced by different pyrolysis processes were analyzed. It was found that the breakthrough sulfur dioxide capacity of both XR and ZR were less than 2. 5 mg/g. Therefore, the raw semi-cokes are not suitable for flue gas desulfurization direct. ly. Two kinds of activated semi-coke XC and ZC were prepared by CO2 activation method, and their desulfurization performances and pore structures were investigated. The result shows that activated semi-coke ZC has the best comprehensive performance. The optimized preparation process conditions are activation temperature of 950 °C, activation time of 2 h, CO2 flow rate of 150 mL/min. The comprehensive sulfur dioxide capacity of ZC reaches 70. 9 mg/g. Both XC and ZC have rich microporous structures, and the pore size distribution is mainly concentrated at 1.20 nm and 1. 84 nni.
