Title
Assisted colonization: Flitter further north.
Abstract
The article discusses the increasing northward migration of species in response to climate change such as the butterflies Melanargia galathea and Thymelicus sylvestris. Topics include research by Stephen Willis and colleagues from Durham University in Great Britain who collected several hundred adults of each species and relocated them to monitor the effect of change on their behavior. The ecological impact of the species' relocation is presented.
