- Abstract
The strategic location of the countries of the Arab Islamic Maghreb overlooking the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean had the greatest role in the activity of the commercial movement and the development of maritime transport from small and large ships to transport goods, travelers and pilgrims between the West and the Arab Islamic Maghreb, and the emergence of ports and anchors that helped to revive the economic state of the nearby cities of the Maghreb, which are closed to those ports and their cultural and historical expansion, the ports and marinas also contributed to the revival of trade and the emergence of large markets, as well as the emergence of the main land routes in those commercial cities close to these and the marinas, especially the immunity and natural fortification of these ports and marinas, which made commercial activity in Safe, which developed the commercial movement and the growth of the markets of the countries of the Islamic Arab Maghreb.
