- Title
Gene regulation: Chanzyme in action - divide and conquer?
- Authors
Koch, Linda
- Abstract
The article discusses research on genes chanzyme or transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 7 (TRPM7). It references the study "The TRPM7 chanzyme is cleaved to release a chromatin-modifying kinase" by G. Krapivinsky and colleagues in the 2014 issue of the journal "Cell." It mentions that in the study three dissimilar cleavage peptides were identified that all contain the kinase domain that was called the TRPM7-cleaved kinases (M7CKs).
