CURRENT PRACTICES IN SELECTION CRITERIA FOR GROUP PLAY-THERAPY.
- Authors
Peck, Michael L.; Stewart, Ralph H.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the current practices in selection criteria for group play therapy. Of the 280 replies, 23.7% reported that they were currently engaged in the practice of group play therapy. Several commented that they were experimenting with this form of treatment. The extent of practice is very consistent with the results reported in another study. Diagnostic classification, "dynamics" and withdrawal vs. sociability were all stated about 68% of the time as being important criteria while physical handicaps were considered significant by only 30% of the respondents.
