- Abstract
In spite of the efforts of the academic community, we do not have a valid response to the question: in which cases can we predict strong agenda effects? Some researchers have shown links between agenda-setting and other theories as framing or priming. It is in those links where the key to understand media effects might reside. This article shows data that support those findings through showing that during the conflict on Iraq, agenda-setting effects took place only when very specific frames were used massively by the media.
