- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 59-year-old male with a two-day history of a red, hot, pruritic eruption on the left side of the neck after surgery for the excision of basal cell carcinoma. The patient was treated with antibiotics as well as a potent topical steroid and the area was dressed with pressure and non-adhesive dressing. Information about the consideration of allergic contact dermatitis in the differential diagnosis of cellulitis after skin surgery is provided.
