- Abstract
The article presents information about chromatography data-handling. Chromatographers go to great lengths to prepare, inject, and separate their samples, but they sometimes do not pay as much attention to the next step: peak detection and measurement. Identification and quantification of peaks can influence the quality of one's results as much as or even more than sample preparation, separation and detection. Good laboratory quality procedures include consideration of the data-handling aspects of an analysis and that the associated method development schemes incorporate the variables of data handling.
