- Abstract
The paper presents the artefacts discovered in the Cucuteni settlements from the Trotuş Valley, that stand as a proof for the cultivation of the land in the above mentioned area, during the Chalcolithic. The raw material - the antler - was locally obtained and, in case of most of the items, their execution involved technical processes such as cutting, shaping and piercing. The study also exposes several auxiliary tools, a grinder and some rubbers/crushers, used by the inhabitants of the Cucuteni settlements for producing flour, through grinding. Moreover, the study will deal with two big pieces of pottery, used for storage. The items presented stand as proofs both for the cultivation of land and for the pottery, stone and antler craftsmanship, through prehistorical technologies.
