The authors (Li et al.) emphasized that some coaches are only good at training youth athletes of a specific age and that coaches acting within the same age group may induce different behaviors and performance among the athletes. In a different approach, a study analyzed the effect of coaches' paternalistic leadership on youth athletes' organizational citizenship behavior (Li et al.).
