- Abstract
The article compares the legal professional privilege (LPP) system present in the common law jurisdictions of the U.S. and European Union (EU) which protects all communications between a professional legal adviser and his or her clients from being disclosed without the permission of client. In Akzo Nobel case, the European Court of Justice (EUCJ) has refused the benefits of LPP to in-house lawyers. Pennsylvania Supreme Court has considered the confidential in entirety of LPP communications.
