- Abstract
This article discusses the availability of interpreter resources for Spanish speakers at dermatology residency program clinics in the United States. The study found that out of 134 clinics contacted, 123 provided information about interpreter services. Overall, 95.9% of clinics had at least one interpreter service available, while 4.9% had no interpreter services. However, nearly half of the clinics did not have all the necessary paperwork available in Spanish, and 54.5% did not have a health professional or staff member who spoke Spanish. The article emphasizes the importance of interpreter resources in addressing language barriers and ensuring equitable healthcare for individuals with limited English proficiency.
