The article presents a summary of the article "Employee Rewards, Employer Perceptions: Benefits Bulletin," by Robert McCarthy, that was published in "Business & Health." It reported on the change and how to cope with it top the list of critical competition and personnel issues facing businesses in the 1990s. Work-life attitudes and perceptions are changing as the nature of the workforce changes. Employees increasingly expect to move from one company to another during their work lives, but they show strong loyalty to their current employers as well. Forty-two percent of managers do not believe or are unsure whether workers are highly committed to their firms. Eighty percent of workers describe themselves as strongly committed to the success of their employers.
