- Abstract
This article describes the utilization of customizable human resource software at West Virginia University Hospitals. Recently, West Virginia University Hospitals replaced four separate systems to handle human resource and payroll with one integrated human resource package. Now payroll is done easily in-house rather than by costly service; reimbursements are automated on the payroll system; useful reports such as employee turnover are generated in minutes rather than weeks; and the software can be expanded to handle future projects. Best of all, the new system is easily customized without the help of experienced programmers. All of the above improvements were generated from a comprehensive needs analysis that produced the four key requirements.
