- Authors
Stupple, Alexandra
- Abstract
The article examines the response of courts in the U.S. on sex offender legislation. It provides a background of sex crimes in the country which includes fondling and consensual sex between adults in public. The author argues that friends and family members are more likely to abuse children sexually compared with strangers and that they outnumber stranger child predator cases. Other topics include courts' deference to legislative findings.
