- Abstract
This article discusses the importance of understanding sex differences in aging and how it can contribute to developing policies that promote healthier and more meaningful lives for older individuals. The article highlights the need for research on sex differences in aging, both in biological mechanisms and environmental and cultural factors. It introduces a genetically diverse mouse model that exhibits sex differences in longevity and resilience, which can be used to study the underlying biological mechanisms.
