Summarizes a study by Joaquin Sariego, et al, which reviewed the cases of one hundred patients who underwent urgent cholecystectomy after presenting with symptoms of acute or subacute gallbladder disease. Conclusion that gallbladder wall thickness does not correlate directly with severity of disease or pathologic findings.
