- Abstract
This article describes the case of one of the iconic members of an unemployed movement emerged in the socio-economic crisis of 2001 in Argentina, with the aim of analysing, from an hermeneutic perspective, how becoming part of a social movement affects social trajectories and identities of the militants. The main question of the study was to determine whether the political participation of activists in social movements change the narrative construction of their identities in relation to some key dimensions emerged in their stories and actions: their way of conceiving the work, how they insert into the labour market and the coexistence of several identification processes inside and outside of the social movements. The article also aims to identify which dimensions of identities come into play in the social movements of unemployed characterized by a significant migrant population composition.
