- Abstract
This article discusses the importance of including the voices of non-English-speaking groups in research on food allergies. The authors describe their method for amplifying the multilingual voices of individuals living with food allergies. They emphasize the need for research that reflects diverse populations and provide guidance for conducting similar studies. The article highlights the challenges of translation and interpretation in qualitative research and emphasizes the importance of allowing participants to express themselves in their preferred language. The authors also discuss the practical and ethical considerations involved in recruiting diverse populations and conducting multilingual research.
