- Abstract
The article presents information on architect Charles B. Chappell, who designed several buildings in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, during the nineteenth century. Chappell comes from a family of carpenters, and was born in 1857. In 1884, architect Lemuel Phillips and Chappell became partners as architects and started developing Charlottetown. Chappell renovated several buildings, including the Stamper Block, the City Hall of Charlottetown, and the Prince of Wales College.
