- Title
ROYAL GORGE CHAPTER APPDAR REVISITED.
- Abstract
The article presents information on the Areal Projectile Point Distribution, Analysis and Recording (APPDAR) program, used by the Colorado Archaeological Society (CAS) to record projectile point data from private collections. It is reported that the Royal Gorge Chapter of CAS recorded some 500 artifacts with APPDAR between 1984 and 1991. Some challenges in the implementation of the program are noted. It is proposed that a central APPDAR database should be constructed, so that the data collected could be better analyzed.
