- Title
POLLEN ANALYSIS IN HISTORIC STRUCTURE ANALYSIS: THE DELANEY ROUND BARN, AURORA, COLORADO.
- Abstract
The article presents information on an archaeological site in Aurora, Colorado known as the DeLancy Round Barn. The barn is believed to have been built around 1902, and to have been changed into a dairy barn around 1918. Pollen analysis was conducted of a sample core from under the floor. This indicated three successive layers of usage. The first was a barnyard with indications of livestock feed and Eurasian cereals. The middle layer was mostly manure, and the upper layer was fill for the concrete floor.
