Title
Race May Not Be a Survival Factor in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer.
Abstract
The article discusses a study comparing survival rates of African American and Caucasian women with triple receptor-negative (TN) breast cancer. The women failed to respond to radiation and chemotherapy treatments and had surgery for the condition. Both groups had a three year survival rate of 71%. The study concluded that when therapy is the same, survival rate is similar.
