- Abstract
The article discusses state constitutional law and the Minnesota Supreme Court's ruling in the 2011 case State v. Cox which deals with equal protection jurisprudence and alleged sentencing disparities in relation to Article I, Section 2 of the Minnesota Constitution. Majority and dissenting opinions are addressed, along with reported criminal Diane Marie Cox's receipt of felony charges for issuing dishonored checks which exceed 500 dollars in value.
