- Abstract
The article discusses how studying particulate translations of Gerard of Cremona may have the potential of a productive analytical tool. Cited was Dag Nikolaus Hasse's proposal of using stylistic considerations to distinguish among the 13th century Latin translators of Averroes' commentaries on Aristotle's "Posterior Analytics." Gerardian texts where "quod est quia" proves to be a recurrent phrase are determined and translated. It explains the potential applicability of two Latin translations of Arabic that wors on geomancy.
