- Abstract
Advances in medical diagnostics have adopted techniques of treatment of images to diagnose diseases by comparing the size of the organ with its normal size or by the appearance or color of the organ. The most important of these techniques is the detection of edges. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of two methods of detection of edges and the adoption of seven color systems after the division of the basic layers and relying on the root of the mean square error and edge detection time as a measure of the performance of the methods. We studied the best layer in each system and shortest time in the discovery of edges to show that the best color being YCC and the best layer C2 in both methods and the shortest time was in the layer x in color System xyz.
