The article focuses on the special anesthetic approaches that should be adopted while operating on small mammals. Hypothermia may result in small mammals due to their large surface area. It is suggested that the animal should be observed quietly before handling and its resting respiratory rate should be counted, while looking for nasal discharge, especially in rabbits. Since rabbits need to be handled carefully, they should be supported dorsally and ventrally to avoid kicking.
