The article discusses the function of gi-prefixed present-tense verb forms in the early Middle High German (MHG) and Old High German (OHG) Physiologus. Topics discussed include the use of early German Physiologus texts as a narration of animal behavior, the insights of author Alfred R. Wedel regarding the systematic application and comprehensive aspects of the gi-prefix, and the relationship between clauses and verbs.
