- Abstract
The integral formation of Health Professionals,in particular Nursing Professionals, constitutes afundamental task, since in addition to thetheoretical aspects we found the practice, andthat is because they have to give priority to theTeaching - Welfare Integration. With thepurpose of evaluating the dimension of thewelfare integration teaching nursing care, anexploratory study was made, applying an openquestionnaire to the Supervisor Nurses of aHospital in Chile. It was detected that thenurses are conscious of this integration, theyagree in its existence, but have little clarity onits principles. Also they detect deficiencies: lackof information, absence of the teacher forevaluating the student and lack of motivation bythe side of the academy towards the welfarenurses. It was concluded the necessity forNursing on counting with a renewed Teaching -Welfare Integration, in order to fulfill suitableconditions for the integral development of theNursing students.
