- Authors
Fink, Cathy
- Abstract
The author explains to Canadian performers the requirements in obtaining a legal work permit in the U.S. The two classifications for performing artists to apply to work in the U.S. are contained in the Petition to Classify Non-immigrant as Temporary Worker or Trainee. Documents that may help to obtain H1 status are letters of support and recommendation from the National Council for Traditional Arts Society for Ethnomusicology, American Folklife Center. A Temporary Labor Certification from the State Department of Labor is needed for obtaining H2 status.
