- Abstract
The article analyzes the implicit bias exhibited against gang members and suggests solutions to prevent juror bias in criminal courts in Oregon. Topics discussed include link between racial stereotyping and gang bias, method of the behavioral realism framework and influence of bias on jurors' perspectives and decisions, explicit bias targeted under the status quo, proposed revision of the Oregon Evidence Code and an Oregon Supreme Court rule limiting the admissibility of gang evidence.
