- Abstract
The article presents suggestions for effective planning and facilitation of science conventions. Topics include the science fair collaboration with a fifth-grade teacher who is an inquiry-based instruction advocate, the competitive nature among participants in a traditional science fair as well as the ideal sharing of findings within the scientific community. Also mentioned are scientific inaptitude feelings, summer science workshop as well as the CER (claim, evidence, reasoning) framework.
