Title
Baby Owls Sleep Like Baby Humans.
Abstract
The article discusses findings by researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology and the University of Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland, that state baby birds and baby mammals have similar sleeping patterns. Topics discussed include studies on barn owls in the wild, the rapid eye movement (REM) phase of sleep, and the use of an electroencephalogram (EEG) to record the sleep of owlets.
