- Authors
Sánchez, Joseph P.
- Abstract
Illustrations, notes, bibliography, index.) With this much-needed biography of Donaciano Vigil (1802-77), a major figure in New Mexico's nineteenth century, Maurilio E. Vigil and Helene Boudreau have made an important contribution toward a better understanding of New Mexico's past and its relationship to the broader history of the United States. Documents extant in the Archivo General de la Nación, the Secretaria de la Defensa and the Biblioteca Nacional in Mexico City, for example, hold new information buried in documents relating to nineteenth-century New Mexico.
