- Abstract
The article presents literary criticism of the play "La Ville parjure" (The Perjured City) by Hélène Cixous. It explores the roles of political betrayal and justice in the play. Details on a scandal surrounding the transfusion of of HIV-tainted blood to patients at the French National Blood Transfusion Center, referenced by Cixous in the play, are also presented. Other topics include causality and the play "The Eumenides" by Aeschylus.
