- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a newborn female neonate, who was delivered at gestational age of 30 weeks with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). It informs about the primary repair of the hernia defect by following an abdominal approach with a prosthetic patch, and the herniated stomach, duodenum and spleen in the left thorax were transplanted to the abdominal cavity. It mentions prognostic factors like pulmonary hypoplasia and pulmonary hypertension responsible for CDH.
