- Abstract
The disengagement speed is one of the main technical indexes of sprag clutches, which has an important impact on service life of the clutches and safety of aircrafts. The structure of centrifugal disengagement type sprag clutches is introduced, the mechanical analysis model is established, and the calculation formula of disengagement speed of the clutches is derived. Taking a typical type of the clutch as an example, the theoretical calculation of disengagement speed is carried out. At the same time, a test method is proposed to test the disengagement speed of the clutches. The theoretical calculation value is basically consistent with test value, verifying the correctness of theoretical calculation method for disengagement speed.
